1. Should I be a professional to use the cabinet hardware jig?

3. What is the maximum handle size that can be installed using the cabinet hardware jig?

The WarmLivings Original and PRO can handle up to 12” center-to-center (300mm). 

For cabinet handles larger than 12 inches, please purchase the Cabinet Hardware Jig PRO MAX to install hardware up to 38 inches (960mm).

4. Is this tool made entirely of aluminum?

Yes, the entire tool is made from aircraft-grade extruded aluminum, except for the thumb screws, which are stainless steel, and the bushings, which are surface-hardened steel.

5. Can this jig be reversed? Can you do one cabinet door and then flip it to do the door next to it?

Yes! Once you set up the tool for one door, you can flip it and drill the next door. We recommend checking that the wing screws are still tight before drilling the next hole.

6. Can I get replacement parts for the cabinet hardware jig?

If you lose or damage your bushing, contact us with your order number, and we will send you a replacement for free.

7. How do I prevent blowout on the back of the door I am drilling?

Always use a sharp drill bit and clear the chips by pulling the bit out of the workpiece while drilling. Do not apply too much pressure, especially at the end of the hole. It’s recommended to place or clamp a scrap piece of wood behind the door to provide extra protection against blowout. In most cases, the screw head can cover any minor blowout. In extreme cases where the screw head cannot cover minor chipping at the drill exit, use a standard drill bit to drill halfway and then finish the hole with a countersink drill bit. Always be mindful of hand positioning to avoid injuries.

8. What should I do if I find a quality defect or damage during shipping upon receiving the product?

Always start with a sharp drill bit. Generally, using the provided drill bit will prevent chipping issues. Additional precautions include taping the work surface with blue painter's tape. For melamine and veneer, consider using a countersink bit.
